Another project for the little unborn peanut: a handmade mobile with forest animals (apposite to the forest-themed baby clothing I made, ha!)
The three animals, a raccoon, fox and owl, are made from soft, thin felt. All details are sewn together by hand (I didn’t want to use glue) and the animals stuffed with cotton wool. The leaves are simple lens-shaped pieces of felt, squeezed and sewn together on one side.
Little felt raccon | fox and owl
As mount I used the branch of a dragon’s claw willow (such a cool name!) from our garden at home. I really like the zig-zag shape of this branch. I barked it with a penknife to get a light-coloured appearance.
I hope the little one will have fun watching the animals and leaves dancing about.
